In book one of the Lunar Mates series, Darius Stewart is banished and offered the leadership of a new pack. He has a new pack to settle and a rogue wolf terrorizing the local population, threatening to expose their species. The last thing he needs is a mate further complicating his life.
That's just fine with Meg O'Reilly. A witch, she knows something is not right in her town. Good werewolves, bad werewolves, and the possessive, bossy, sexy Alpha wolf trying to order her around. Life’s never been so complicated.

Outside she turned in the direction of a little art shop, more a curiosity shop, that always had interesting little finds. On the walk over she stopped and gossiped with friends. The bear attack was the most recurring theme, and everyone expected some insight from her. She snorted. Her witchy powers had never been so accommodating. She rarely picked up what she wanted to know.
Her uneasiness grew, and her sixth sense flared out in awareness. Certain someone was following her, she checked over her shoulder at every stop, but never spotted anyone. Never spotted him. Maybe it wasn't Darius after all. She felt like a mouse to a cat, and that just didn't seem to be his style.
She felt immediate relief when she entered the shop, and explored with more care than usual for the respite. A small placard in the front window announced new ownership, but whoever he was he hadn't taken the time to clean up yet. The usual clerk had her nose buried in a book at the front display case.
The place was a disaster and had to be in violation of the entire fire code. She loved it. Rows of tall metal shelves were crammed into the space, creating narrow aisles, and they were packed with odds and ends. You never knew what you'd find, and whatever it was it had more than likely been buried in the racks for years.
She would never have found the wolf on one of her usual visits to the shop. It was small and carved in a light grained wood. The base rested in her palm and it was about five inches tall. The wolf sat on its haunches, head thrown back in a howl. It looked sorrowful. Lonely. The wolf touched some chord of recognition deep within her. She traced it with a finger, loving the pose, the contours and emotions evident in the figure. The carver captured an elemental knowledge of his subject.
She had to have it. Turning it over, she had to look twice at the price. She started to put it back when a deep familiar voice spoke behind her.
"Decide you don't want it?"
Darius. She drew a lungful of air before she could think better of it. She had been reliving his scent for weeks, woodsy and completely male. He smelled wonderful.

"I loved this story especially when I can get a double dose of a dynamic lead couple. Meg is what I love most in a lead female role being an independent, self assured woman who relies on no one but herself, plus she's a witch! She was no pushover in spite of the fact that she sensed immediately that Darius was a force to be reckoned with. What can I say about Darius other than he was not only an Alpha werewolf but an Alpha male in every sense of the word. Natural born leader, arrogant, sexy with a take-charge attitude who would make anyone feel safe, secure and ecstatically cherished! Oh heart be still!
Trey and Eric as Darius' friends brought another dimension to the story and I can hardly wait to see this series evolve and sincerely look forward to Trey finding his mate. Beautiful clean writing with humor, steamy wild sensuality, and a brisk pace, this is definitely my choice of a wonderful bedtime story!"

"The first book in the LUNAR MATES series starts it off with a bang and ensures that this is one series that readers will become hooked on. Meg is bright and talented in her abilities of witchcraft and she's wily when dealing with Darius. Darius is a man used to being obeyed and not questioned about anything, imagine his frustration when he comes up against Meg. The sensuality is high and the romance is in full bloom. Loribelle Hunt has gotten the LUNAR MATES series off to a wonderful start and I can’t wait to see what the next book will bring."

"UNDER COVER OF THE MOON takes you on a sensuous journey of love and mating. As you read you find yourself on the edge of your seat wondering what Miss Loribelle has in store for her readers next. Be ready to be swept off your feet and into the supernatural world of werewolves..."
Debbie Johnson, Paranormal Romance Reviews
"UNDER COVER OF THE MOON is written by Loribelle Hunt. Ms. Hunt pens a familiar premise, yet she threads it with her own brand of word crafting; kicking this story up to a heated bliss. Giving her werewolf tale a howling good time, with wonderful writing and a little bite of drama added into the mix."
